SIT, PRAY, QUIETLY

I have been told to sit,

to just sit and pray

The beguiling ways of the world moving is captivating,

especially when doves appear to be dying

So I accept the task to chant,

Hare Hare

To study the scriptures with humility

To understand this fire with responsibility

Raga Bhakti,

path of the undying devotee

I sit and pray,

anywhere,

everywhere,

until a new hope revealing fresh vistas of meaning

Enveloped in a golden translucent mist,

I see the Mother rising

At the lotus feet of Krishna,

luminous rays touched the One, Dual, and Trinity

Unbound is the Ocean,

Supreme in Its felicity

I AM,

the Mountain's daughter

and I sit,

pray,

quietly
