Was feeling quiet time yesterday but my heart didn't allow me to stop. It led me to commune with the Share Necessities family to prepare food for the homeless. The van was permeated in love and joy as we made one burrito after the next. Tortillas, rice, beans, onions and cilantro... Some simple ingredients but to those that have not had warm food or any food, I'm sure the pleasure of a simple burrito amounts to any meal at a four-star restaurant. Later as we passed them out in Venice, I couldn't help but feel how blessed I am to have the opportunity to serve our brothers and sisters. As we passed out food, water and socks, our brief interactions gave rise to their visibility in honor and respect. In patois (Jamaican Dialect), there is no such word as 'they'. The phrase 'I and I' are used to include everyone. Because there is really no 'us' and 'them'. In a split of a second, Mother could shift the movements of the planet and we could easily be in 'their' shoes. So let us not wait for that to take place to feel no separation amongst each other. While we can, let us assist one another always. We have the power right now to transcend social constructs of division and ignite the One-Unity consciousness. All it takes is you. All it takes is I and I.
